$30,000 Worth of Beer Stolen from Anheuser-Busch Plant

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Police say a truck with almost 2,000 cases of beer was driven away from the Anheuser-Busch plant in Jacksonville by an unknown thief.

Pearstein Distributors, a South Carolina company that contracts with the beer plant to distribute the product, reported the theft late Tuesday.

Police say an unknown suspect in an unknown vehicle entered the Northside plant, displayed the appropriate paperwork necessary to pick up a load of beer and then drove away.

Pearlstein Distributors called Ken Wilkey to report that the shipment never reached its destination.

A total of 1,980 cases of beer were stolen, valued at $30,000.

Police say there is no additional suspect or suspect vehicle information.

National Coffee Day is Thursday, September 29, and according to a new survey commissioned jointly by Dunkin’ Donuts and CareerBuilder, scientists/lab technicians are the professions that need coffee the most, followed by marketing/public relations and education administrators. The survey results also show that coffee plays a major role in helping professionals perk up at work, as 34 percent need coffee to get through their workday, and 46 percent of those who drink coffee claim they are less productive without a cup of Joe.
