SWAT team responded to scene on Shellcracker Road | News

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The SWAT team with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is responding to a scene in the 15000 block of Shellcracker Road. 

Lt. Mike Powers tells us a couple got into an argument over night that turned violent. 

The woman involved alleges her boyfriend became suicidal after the argument threatening to kill himself. She also told police her boyfriend became, "really violent" and allegedly fired a gun several times into the roof of their mobile home. 

The woman was able to escape the home and called police from a different location. 

When police arrived at the scene the boyfriend was apparently asleep. He gave himself up without incident and is now in custody.

At this time the man's name is not being released. It is also unclear if any charges will be filed in this case.
