JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A First Coast High football player is in stable condition at Shands after he collapsed on the field coming out of halftime.

JFRD said they have taken a player complaining of chest pains to Shands Thursday evening around 9 p.m.

First Coast Head Coach Marty Lee said the player is Senior Running Back Cameron Price. He said Price is alert, talking, and doing "great."

Lee said he never lost consciousness and never stopped breathing in the episode. He gave all the credit to the EMTs on scene and both teams' doctors.

Price was complaining of chest tightness as he started to warmup after halftime. He did not play during the game.

Lee said this has never happened to Price during a game before.
