Police: Customer fatally shoots robber | News

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- According to JSO, an armed customer with a concealed firearm fatally shot a robbery suspect Monday night at the Dollar General store on Dunn Avenue.

Officers were called to the Northside store just before 9:30pm. There, they arrived they found one robbery suspect dead inside the store.

The second suspect got away in a small SUV.

Investigators say the two suspects were armed with guns when they entered the store. Two employees and one customer were inside at the time. 

Police took the customer who fired the shots in for questioning, but said he would likely not be charged.

The suspect who got away is described as about six feet tall wearing tan pants, a blue bandana and gloves.

Police have not identified either suspect and are not releasing the customer's name.
