UPDATE, 7/18/12: Investigators with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office are requesting the public's help in identifying the person seen in the photo above. JSO said the person is believed to be involved in the incident.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Hundreds of people, mostly teenagers, are responsible for about $1,500 in property damage at the Walmart on Lem Turner Road, according to a report from the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

The crowd entered the store around 11:30 p.m. Saturday and began throwing produce, yelling and taking items. Before leaving the store, someone from the group destroyed an electronic security scanner, according to an account from the manager in the report.

The group had apparently come from a house party that was broken up in the 12600 block of Sampson Road just before 11 p.m, according to another JSO report. This is just more than two miles from the Walmart.

An off-duty officer at Shands Jacksonville hospital alerted an officer providing crowd control at the party that a man was shot in the thigh during the party as it was breaking up. His wound was non-life threatening.

There was also a report of gunshots fired during the incident at Walmart, but a JSO report stated that shots were fired into the air and that no one was reported to be injured.

JSO's Patrol Division is investigating the incident at Walmart and the Aggravated Battery Unit investigating the shooting outside the party.

Anyone with any information about the suspect(s) in either incident is asked to contact the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office at 904-630-0500 or email us at JSOCrimeTips@jaxsheriff.org. To remain anonymous and receive a possible reward, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS.
