Police: Man admits to using lawn mower as battering ram on neighbor's fence | News
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A man that lives in the 12900 block of Boney Rd. used a lawn mower to repeatedly ram a neighbor's brand new fence, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Eva Bowen called police claiming she and neighbor Kenneth Salas had been feuding because Bowen bought a foreclosed home that is in between the Salas family properties.
Bowen told police Salas rammed his mower into the newly installed section of her split rail wooden fence on Sunday, driving the fence poles out of the ground.
Police called Salas, who was out at the time. He agreed to come home to discuss the incident.
Salas originally said the he was mowing and saw that the victim's fence was already pushed over, claiming he didn't do anything. After having his rights read to him, Salas admitted to damaging Bowen's fence, according to the police report. However, he did not give a reason for doing so.
Salas was charged with criminal mischief.
